A Morning by the Sea...

Getting up at 4 in the morning is almost a forgotten story for us now! However with my cousin in town, we promised ourselves, that we will do this bit, to take him to this beautiful waterfront property of Radisson Blu, near Mahabalipuram in Chennai. The seriousness of the matter was more, since we practically did not take him anywhere except shopping malls in the city, that he anyways visits in his town too...so that was nothing new, and to ask why we did so??  Occupational hazard again, just could not get off from it. So here it was the weekend and our last chance to show him at least something more real, natural and delightful!4 am the alarm rang, with extreme effort we got to our feet and in a  much slumberous way, were finally ready to start. As we got into the car, we were fresh and happy...had almost forgotten, how 4.30am looks and feels like ;) With some good -loud music we set off.

After a drive for about 1.30 hrs we reached Radisson Blu at 6.05am, sunrise was at 6.20, as we walked towards the beach we could see the first burst of orange in the sky, and oh how beautiful it looked!!

And it kept growing bigger...

The waves splashed the shores of the Bay of Bengal..and we just had fun and lots of photographs.

We soaked ourselves partly with the crest, while completely with the magnificence of watching the sun ascend the horizon- warm, bright and overpowering. By 7.30am we were famished, so we walked towards the Radisson  water front cafe for a breakfast buffet.

Some pictures on of the lovely beach front property while we walked...

The pool splendor!!...looks as if it meets the sea ;)

We had a scrumptious breakfast with lots of fruits, juices, breads, salamis, noodles, cheese, cereals and not to forget, I also gorged on a yummy Aloo ka paratha! (Indian bread stuffed with boiled and sauteed mashed potatoes)

The sun was brightly shining above us, it was hot, as we walked towards the car park. A short yet fun excursion came to an end.
